Kikar Atarim -the Carton
In the end what they claimed was like a hurricane turned out to be a few thunder showers. And after two short days the sun is shining on a glorious Friday noon.

Sunset at Frishman Beach
Living near the beach brings a quality of life with no parallels. It’s an escape, the end of the world, where road traffic transitions into the sound of waves that wash your troubles away.

Relaxing at Dizengoff Square
Dizengoff square has gone through a few changes over the decades. A few years ago once again was redone. It was brought down to street level, and populated with benches, plastic chairs and grass. A great place to stop, take a break, see and be seen.

Bauhaus, Ficus and Bats
Tel Aviv is noted for many reasons. German Templars were instrumental in its first years in the late 1800 and early 1900s. Ficus was planted due to their large size and shade they provide to shelter from the Mideast sun. And bats, well I guess they just thrive on the ficus berries which in the end stain the Tel Aviv sidewalks, while bat poop stains the sides of bauhaus buildings.

Hostage Square -Tel Aviv
It’s more than a month since this square was full, a Friday morning where many of the remaining live hostages were released. This square was packed in celebration of the homecoming. Today there remain the bodies of two hostages to be returned. The square remains barren, empty, the mirror opposite of a Friday weeks ago.

Ayalon Expressway near Sunset
If Dizengoff center is a Tel Aviv’s beating heart, the Ayalon expressway is the blood pumping through its veins, cutting a clear path from north to south, and along with the trains and busses being the lifeline of Israeli transport. This was shot through the window of Azrielli mall

Dizengoff Center - the Beating Heart of Tel Aviv
One of the great things about Tel Aviv is its walkability. And as small as it is the streets curve and always bring you to somewhere unexpected. But Dizengoff center will never lead you astray. The center is always full of life, line a mall in the 80s, and absolutely packed erev Shabbat (Friday).

Tel Aviv Toha at Night
There has been a construction frenzy in Israel for a decade, and it barely stuttered over the last two years of war. The Toha building is part of that boom and was meant to look like a ship, and in the daytime you can even see an item on its roof apparently meant to look like a smokestack. Tel Aviv at night is beautiful, a completely different experience than the day.

Hashalom Train Station -Tel Aviv
On the theme of trains, this is the entrance to the HaShalom train station, adjacent to Azrelli center, the convergence of train thoroughfares in Tel Aviv. Not far from here is the light rail red line, and directly below is the Ayalon freeway. The area is filled with restaurants and shops. With the Sarona district just across the street, founded by German templars in the late 1880s and one of the first settlements in Tel Aviv.

Kite Surfing and Kids at Borgashov Beach
Kite surfing is using a parachute to catch the wind and help you fly through the air on your surf board. We were at the beach Saturday evening, the boardwalk packed with walkers and watchers, old couples and little kids, all hanging out while the sun goes down.

Celebrating Freedom at Hostage Square
A couple of weeks late, but important to post. It’s been difficult to post over the past couple of years since Oct. 7th. But I’m back. This photo I took the day of their release, Oct. 13th. More murdered hostages have been released since then. And as it stands today Israel is till waiting for the last 11 of our family members to be released.
